I still have the engine and transmission

The first of the side panels were sold, crated and shipped.

Nice dream, but no thanks. Besides the carcus is already gone. I had to pay to get it hauled away. No salvage value.

Well, I had it towed home a couple weeks ago. The engine, generator, propane tank, transfer switch and inverter were removed. Also both sides of the lower motorhome storage compartment doors and panels were also removed. I had a couple guys interested in the engine/transmission but no sale yet...

I still own it and finally got the insurance check last Sat for the vehicle itself. Still waiting for the check for all my personal property that was lost. I've had a couple of people that wanted the engine, but nobody can come up with a plan on how to get it. I have contacted a local towing...

I think I have it all figured out now. I have a local towing company to tow it back to my area for $1500 and I'll be able to get $500 back from AAA. I also have a place to store it for free and a guy to do the work to remove the engine and stuff, then scrap the rest. Fingers crossed!

Well my AAA does cover rvs but not like they used to. I've had it towed several times up to 200 miles for nothing, but now they changed the rules. Max $500 for a tow. I think the storage yard is owned by the insurance company, so storage fees are an issue

The only place that responded to me wanted to know what my budget was. I told them less than $1000. They said that would be only 7 hrs shop time and they thought that wouldn't be enough time. They really must be slow workers. I think I might have found a local place to do the work. I'll know...

I just wanted to send a quick message to you guys. First, thanks for your well wishes and thoughts. Second, I will be explaining the events as they happened the best I can, later. Not only have we been busy with my brother's estate, but also gathering documentation for the insurance company...

Thanks for all the well wishes. I will post more photos when I get time. It's been a busy week so far. I'll go into more details later. Last night while in Iowa, I was notified that my brother had passed due to his cancer and I have to deal with that first.

My exhaust leak was a little different. There were a couple factors with the exhaust headers. First of all, when they were fabricated, they were made to fit a different style of head. Apparently, the P-400 heads are different. Anyhow the headers wouldn't sit tight against the head mating...
