I just replaced the rag joint on my 99. Fairly easy job if you have a larger die grinder, as in not a dremel

So to keep this thread updated, I installed an Edelmann power steering box and an new rag joint and an Edelmann power steering pump and a pitman arm. I was going to do an inner tie rod but after I got the other stuff done it didn't seem loose anymore. I bought a pump for a 96 to avoid any EVO...

Today I'm installing a new edelmann box, a new pitman arm, a new inner tie rod end as the TTX one failed after just a few thousand miles,and a new power steering pump, and a new hose. Need to have it all done by Monday morning.

I used to original LP harness to trigger the relay so I had nothing to cap. Nice job though.

Making progress. Had to order some bearings that support the cross slide feed shafts. Pretty filthy inside too. One of the way covers was damaged so I straightened it, need to get some double sided tape to reinstall the wipers on the way covers.

Edelmann is brand new not rebuilt

Picked this up off marketplace $250. I'll get it all cleaned up and then sell my other one

Also in the process of making a log arch to be able to retrieve the logs out of the woods.

Got the first beam milled for the greenhouse.

IIRC it's a metric thread designed to be used with an oring.

My 96 died with 306k my 99 has 263k both on the original alternator.

I'd definitely do some loctite on the nut. Be a bad day to have it come off......

could be, most I've been around are more distinctive ie louder
